  1. Container Must be re-created if:

    • Change partition key
    • Change conflict resolution policy
    • Change unique index
    • Change vector search
    • Change disk encryption

  2. Multi Region replication is not supported if:

    • Continous backup - new version can support this.
    • Service manage failover - Service-managed failover is NOT supported for multi-region write, as there shouldn't be a failover for write for that. Makes sense as it is already active-active/ha why need auto.
    • No Strong consistency - strong consistency cannot be supported
    • Cassandra API cannot support it

  3. Do Labs, reasons to do:

    • Remember the steps and order, like Azure AI Search, you need to create data source, index, indexer.
    • Understand on roles required for each step, like for Azure AI Search, you need to have Contributor role for CosmosDB to create data source.
    • Try focusing on the UI parameters aside the main one, like Periodic backup there are options to select LRS, GRS or ZRS.

Question: What is the restrictions (max fields) Azure Synapse Link can integrate with CosmosDB.

Answer: You can have a maximum of 1,000 properties across all nested levels in the document schema and a maximum nesting depth of 127.

Method: Find in troubleshooting section for "Azure Synapse Analytics Serverless SQL Pool troubleshooting documentation".

Timing

You have ONLY 2 hours to complete ~60 questions. With that you can only spend an average of 2 minutes per question, so time it properly and if the question seems simple enough just go thru it.

Return to review can risk more time than expected. To actually return to view all questions after review, click on a button on the top left to go back to view all questions. Unlike AWS, once you go to a review question you need to click on the button on the top left to go back to view all questions, else you need to keep clicking NEXT.
